Permaculture
'Practical solutions for a resilient future'
It is notoriously difficult to define ‘Permaculture’, a term coined during the 1970’s by Australian Bill Mollison and David Holmgren. The entire concept is rooted in three core ethics: care for earth, care for people, and fair share of surplus. Its approach to sustainable agriculture is based off of thoughtful observation, design, and implementation of holistic systems.
To me, Permaculture is a revolution disguised as gardening! It is so much more than planting a garden; it is a lifestyle shift. You are creating a self-sustaining ecosystem, lifestyle, home, economy, and community that is healthy, resilient, and adaptable while benefiting the planet, your community, and the overall health and wellbeing of all things! This can pertain to anything from growing your own food, recycling, composting, volunteering, buying organic, shopping local, supporting sustainable companies and co-ops, homeschooling, community banking, land management, environmental activism etc.
